Born in the Ruby Sea but moved to Ul'dah early in infancy, Azami would sooner tell anyone she was a natural Ul'dahn resident. The daughter of the merchant Isse, Azami was relocated to Ul'dah when her father began working in earnest with the East Aldenard Trading Company. Having learned naught else, Azami took to working with her father in her early years, being schooled and taught the trade and how the city itself operated. But with the comfort her father's occupation brought her, Azami didn't take any of it seriously, and all her lessons simply taught her were where the best places to have fun and spend money were. She was always found in the loudest and wildest parties, often ending in the care of the Brass Blades for disorderly conduct. Her infrequent forays into adventuring were in the same vein, simple accidents that happened while she was having fun. A party carriage of her and some friends were accosted by the Corpse Brigade on their way back to Thanalan, and even though the drivers were over powered, the drunken Azami laid the slavers low with a rusty axe she had managed to find.This began a bit of a precedence, with Azami's fury spearheading its way through predicaments people wouldn't expect the normally bubbly socialite to be involved in. Her size, penchant for drinking, and incredible rage, not to mention the skeletal nature of her tail, had earned her a few nicknames, but the only one people were brave enough to use in her presence was "Big Sister".
